Aev

One balance for everything

Aev is the single prepaid balance behind billable model calls and admitted app or database actions on SettleMesh. 1 USD = 100 Aev. Top-up availability is governed by live server configuration. No per-product wallets, no expiring bundles.

Usage-based

Cost-plus, quoted up front

Every metered call is billed at platform cost plus a published markup — never a subscription. Ask for a quote before running anything expensive (POST /v1/billing/quote), and read every charge back from your ledger.

End-user-pays

Live-server-governed delegated billing

When the live server reports delegated billing available, apps you deploy can bill the signed-in end user's own Aev balance instead of yours. Read the current quote and ledger rather than assuming a payment or settlement result.

When free runs out

Check the live funding options — never assume a charge

When your free allowance is used up, paid calls return the current server error and repair path instead of silently charging. Top-up may be offered only when enabled by live server configuration; otherwise keep the unavailable state truthful.
